Terms of Service

1. Agreement

By joining the LOQI waitlist on loqimaps.com, by using this website, or by using the LOQI app, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use our website, app or services.

2. About LOQI

LOQI is a mobile app for discovering, planning, and remembering places with the friends who matter to you. It is currently in private beta development. The LOQI waitlist on loqimaps.com lets early supporters reserve a numbered spot for a coin reward when the app launches publicly.

LOQI is a product of Grande Developers, a Dutch general partnership (vennootschap onder firma), registered with the Netherlands Chamber of Commerce (KvK) under number 42091088, based in Amsterdam, the Netherlands.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use LOQI. By signing up, you confirm you meet this age requirement and have the legal capacity to enter into this agreement.

4. Your account

When LOQI launches you can create an account with your email address, or through Google or Apple sign-in. You are responsible for keeping your login secure and for the activity on your account. You must provide accurate information and may hold only one account per person unless we agree otherwise.

5. Waitlist registration

When you submit your email at loqimaps.com:

• We assign you a numbered position in order of signup (#1, #2, #3, and so on).
• We assign you a tier based on your position.
• We send you a confirmation email with your tier and position.

Each email address may register only once. Duplicate submissions return your existing spot; they do not create a new one.

6. Tier rewards

Each tier comes with a different coin reward when LOQI publicly launches. Coins are the in-app credit spent on place discovery in LOQI's Explore feature:

To claim your reward at launch:

• You must create a LOQI account using the same email address as your waitlist signup.
• You must claim within 90 days of LOQI's public launch announcement.
• Unclaimed rewards expire after this period.

7. Coins

Coins are the in-app credit used for LOQI Recommendations in Explore.

• Every new user receives a one-time gift of 1 free coin.
• Coins do not expire. On the Free plan they are not topped up automatically: it is a one-time balance that only counts down as you use it. Plus and Max include a monthly coin allowance (see section 8).
• You can earn extra coins through the referral programme (see section 9) and, at launch, through your waitlist tier reward (see section 6).
• A search that returns no results does not cost a coin.
• Coins have no cash value, cannot be exchanged for money, and cannot be transferred or sold.

There is currently no option to buy coins separately; coins are only obtained for free.

8. Plus and Max subscriptions

Plus and Max are paid plans. Plus includes 5 LOQI Recommendation coins per month, up to 10 maps and up to 10 members per shared map. Max includes 30 LOQI Recommendation coins per month, unlimited maps and up to 25 members per shared map. Both are ad-free. Saving and sharing places, shared maps, scheduling polls, and up to 3 photos per pin are free for everyone and are not paid features.

Plus and Max are billed through Apple's in-app purchases (App Store) and Google's in-app purchases (Play Store), managed via RevenueCat. Apple's and Google's billing, renewal, cancellation and refund rules apply: you manage and cancel your subscription through your own App Store or Play Store account, and we do not process or store any payment details. The current price is shown in the app before you subscribe.

9. Referral programme

You can earn extra coins by inviting friends:

• Someone who signs up with your invite code receives 1 referral coin on top of their 1 starter coin, and automatically starts following you.
• You (the inviter) receive 1 coin.
• To keep it fair, there is at most one reward per invited person.

We may adjust or end the referral programme, and may withhold rewards we reasonably believe result from fraud or abuse.

10. Beta status and no guarantees

LOQI is in active development. We make no guarantees about:

• The exact launch date (current target: 2026, subject to change).
• The final feature set of the application.
• Continuous availability or uptime of the service.
• The cash value of coins, which have none and cannot be exchanged for money.

If LOQI does not launch publicly within 18 months of your waitlist signup, we reserve the right to modify or substitute your tier reward with a comparable benefit of equal goodwill. We will honour the spirit of the promise: the free coins for your tier, regardless of how the product evolves.

11. Your content and acceptable use

You keep ownership of the content you create in LOQI (your pins, notes, photos, ratings and lists). By adding content, you grant us a limited licence to store and display it to you and to the people you choose to share it with, so the app can work.

You agree NOT to:

• Submit fake, temporary, or disposable email addresses to manipulate the waitlist.
• Attempt to claim tier rewards or referral rewards you are not entitled to, including through fraud or abuse.
• Sell, transfer, or attempt to monetise your waitlist position, coins, or account.
• Upload content that is unlawful, infringing, hateful, or that shares another person's private information without permission.
• Scrape, attack, overload, or otherwise abuse the website, app, or its infrastructure.
• Use LOQI for any unlawful purpose under Dutch or EU law.

Violation of these rules may result in removal of your content, waitlist entry, or account without notice.

12. Intellectual property

All content we provide on loqimaps.com and in the app (including text, design, illustrations, logos, and the LOQI name) is the intellectual property of LOQI and protected by Dutch and international copyright law. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or commercialise this content without our prior written permission.

13. Your data

Our handling of your personal data is governed by our Privacy Policy. By using loqimaps.com, joining the waitlist, or using the app, you also agree to that Privacy Policy.

14. Disclaimer and limitation of liability

The website, waitlist and app are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.

To the maximum extent permitted by Dutch law, LOQI shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of loqimaps.com, the app, or the waitlist programme. Our total aggregate liability to you, for any cause whatsoever, is limited to the greater of the amount you have paid us or 100 euro.

This limitation does not apply where prohibited by Dutch consumer law.

15. Termination

We may suspend or remove your waitlist entry or account if you violate these Terms. You may withdraw your participation at any time by emailing privacy@loqimaps.com and requesting deletion of your data.

16. Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes arising from or related to these Terms will be exclusively submitted to the competent court in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. If you are a consumer residing in another EU country, mandatory consumer protection laws of your country of residence may also apply.

17. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by email to waitlist members and, once the app is live, to registered users, where appropriate before they take effect. Continued use of the website or app after a change indicates your acceptance of the revised Terms.
